Today, we pass from the 239th anniversary of the founding of our country to the 15th anniversary of this crazy thing called Big Brother. The first episode debuted on July 5th, 2000, right after an episode of the first season of Survivor, with Julie Chen hosting and Ian O’Malley contributing. I remember watching the drawn-out first episode having doubts the show would last more than one season, as I wrote back in 2012.
Back in the present day, there’s an ever-changing scramble to decide who will take John’s place on the block. First it appeared Liz/Julia will be the substitute nominee, but now after some cajoling and rethinking, Shelli’s most recent thoughts on the matter center around Meg being the replacement nominee.
They think Meg would be safe and that the house won’t rally around Da’Vonne, but with the twist nullifying three votes, the vote will be literally up in the air if it’s 6-6 or 7-5. It will all depend on who gets to use the twist and if they can correctly decide whom to nullify.
More coming tomorrow…
